Biography:
Norman Osborn, portrayed by Willem Dafoe, is the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's *Spider-Man* (2002). A brilliant but unstable scientist and head of Oscorp, Osborn seeks to secure a vital military contract.
Desperate to prove his worth, he tests an unstable performance-enhancing serum on himself. The serum enhances his intellect and physical abilities but also drives him insane, creating an alternate personality – the Green Goblin.
As the Green Goblin, Osborn terrorizes New York City, using advanced Oscorp technology like a glider and pumpkin bombs. His actions are primarily motivated by a desire to undermine and ultimately kill Spider-Man after the hero publicly rejects his initial attempts to team up.
